Meet Chula Magazine's Cesar Chavez High School Interns ..... Cesar Chavez is a very special magnate school in Washington, DC.  Chula Magazine was honored to have these interns spend 3 1/2 weeks learning and working with us.  The weeks were spent learning the ins and outs of digital pages, magazines (as they presently exist) and designing a page for Chula Magazine, www.chulamagazine.com.

Each Intern selected a theme, researched its content, graphically designed the page.  This edition publishes the page.  You can browse through the magazine and read their pages.

One of our discoveries while publishing Chula Magazine is that there aren't many clip art photos of Hispanics/Latinos.  So I scheduled a few days to address this problem.  The interns, Siomara, Letticia, Nadia and Andrea, went out on a couple of photo-shoots  Under my direction, we went window shopping, tried on clothing in several shops and shot photos.

Happily, one of the assignments for the Interns was to create material which we could use in the magazine. Photos were taken in different venues.

On this assignment we also discovered that there's nothing more heartwarming than a group of friends taking loving photographs of one another.  The Interns captured their natural beauty and warmth as friends  ......

Latina's defining and redefining beauty.  We are proud of these Latinas!

Thank you, Senoritas for working with us!  Let's do it again!
